Ghana’s version of El-classico dubbed the Super clash comes off today May 2, 2016  at the Accra Sports stadium as the two most decorated and glamorous clubs in the country, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko meet in match day 10 in the on-going 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League.
This game also kicks start Super Monday football to be introduced by the Premier League Board in the on-going league season.

This will be the 103rd meeting between both clubs. Accra Hearts of Oak have been on the ascendency this season with new coach Kenichi spearheading the team. Hearts have lost just a game this season with four wins and three draws (W4 D3 1L). Hearts are second on the league log with their rivals Kotoko eighth on the league log.

The Porcupine Warriors have been slow in their pursuit for the trophy this season with three wins, two draws and four loses.

Heading into this game Kotoko lost it home game against New Edubiase whilst Hearts of Oak won away at Obuasi against defending champions AshantiGold.
As both meetings have prevailed, form guide those not matter when these two sides clash. Hearts will be meeting their eternal rivals with their sushi football whilst the Post- Duncan era under interim Boss Michael Osei are well prepared with their arsenals to beat the Phobians at their favorite ground.

Previous meetings
In the 2014/2015 First Capital Plus Bank Ghana Premier League Hearts of Oak defeated Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports stadium by 1-0 and Asante Kotoko won the return leg at the Accra Sports stadium by 2-1.
Hearts defeated Kotoko on two occasions last season winning the President Cup and the first leg away win in the 2014/2015 League season at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
On the other hand for the past three seasons Hearts have failed to secure a win in the league at home against Asante Kotoko. Last season ended in a loss at home to the Phobians (1-2).
Moreover Kotoko have always picked up a point at the Accra Sports stadium against Hearts Of Oak in the league in the past three seasons.
The Porcupine Warriors have seen two victories against Hearts in the last six games in Accra, with one going for Hearts and two ending in draws, but Hearts are even without a win in their last four league home games against Kotoko (L2 D2).

In 2015 total wins for Accra Hearts of Oak is 35 wins, Kotoko 31 wins and 36 draws in the 102 matches played.
At the Accra Sports stadium it is Hearts- 14 wins, Kotoko-14 wins and draws- 23.
