Avram Grant leaves again

By Herbert Boakye-Yiadom
Avram Grant has left the country to continue his scouting and monitoring program of Ghanaian players abroad as communicated to the public by the Ghana Football Association in a press release.
The Black Stars head coach will station only in Europe for his scouting and monitoring program of Ghanaian players this time around as the 2015/2016 European league season comes to a closure.
Grant is expected to return to the country immediately after that to continue his monitoring of the local players in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The communication director of the Ghana football Association, Mr. Sannie Darra in an interview with Accra based local radio station Asempa FM last weekend stated that it was necessary for the Ghana Football Association to inform the public about the coach’s departure in order to inform the public about his activities.
He said, “Avram has asked permission from the Football Association to return to Europe and continue his scouting and monitoring of players, which we have approved and he will return immediately after that when the European season ends”.
In other matters concerning his plans for the national team the head coach is also proposing for a standing local Black Stars team which the core of it will be formed by players of the Ghana Premier league so they can be integrated quickly into the senior side, so as to promote the players and also give them the requisite skills, the communication director added.
Avram Grant will be on the touchline for the Black Stars in June as they continue their journey to Gabon 2017 African Cup of Nations.
Ghana leads group H with 10 points and has already booked a place at the 2017 AFCON with two matches to go.
