Cape Coast stadium to host finals of 2015/2016

The newly constructed Cape Coast stadium will host this year’s MTN FA Cup finals as revealed by Mr. Kurt Okraku member of the FA Cup committee at the round of 16 pairings held yesterday at the Alisa Hotel here in Accra.
The MTN FA cup committee member stated that there has been certain strategies adopted by the FA Committee to enhance the competition this year such as the teams have been grouped into the Northern zone and the Southern zone so as to reduce travelling of the away teams and also to also get more rest hours for travelling team.

He also pleaded with the clubs to honor the games when balloting is done and also added that all clubs have been paid outstanding bonuses and debts in the on-going competition.
The sixteen clubs will earn GH 500 MTN talk time plus 25% gate proceeds. Also the home teams will take GH 2000 and the away team GH 3000 on match days.
Apart from the Upper East region, every team has a representative in the tournament but some top teams such as Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies have been kicked out of the tournament.
The round of 16 matches will take place from the May 11-16, 2016. The best player of this year’s tournament will be rewarded with a piece of land from Invest Properties and Construction Limited.
