Government has not given us full complement of our budget over 4 years-Mr Joe Kpenge

The Director of the National Sports Authority Mr. Joe Kpingi has told the media that government over the past four years has not given the National Sports Authority its full complement of the budget allocated to them which has made the National Sports Authority to be highly indebted in running its operations.

The last quarter of 2015 we did not receive any money and when the year ends it means there won’t be any money.

Also he made mention of the fact that the National Sports Authority does not charge clubs and other organizations that use the facilities at the various stadia on commercial rates but render to them as social services.

He continued by saying if they were running these facilities on commercial rate it will discourage people from using the facilities.

He said in order to use the facilities at the stadium a fee of GH 20,000 must be paid and this the Premier clubs cannot afford thus they only contribute a quota of their gate proceeds to the National Sports Authority.
